Cute little guy

It was a great day! We visited Lauren today. Josh sat there patiently while we chatted for two hours! Robin is home for Christmas and Aunt June had a get together. It's always great seeing family! Oh and have I mentioned lately how big my belly is getting. Poor kitty has no room to lay!

And the tree falls

I attempted to water the tree myself...mistake! It's hard for me to bend over with the load I'm carrying...down went the tree.

A weekend full of decorating

This year our house won't have as many trees as I would like to have. Christmas decorating is tiring when you are carrying a load in front :-) We don't even have our lights outside yet! Kinda disappointing. However we did manage to decorate our Christmas tree.

29 weeks

Today I decided to give Becky's doppler a try again and we heard the babys heartbeat almost as clear as at the doctors office.  Pretty cool!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I made cut out cookies today that are waiting to be frosted. It's too tiring to decorate and bake them in one day. We got our con color fir tree. We had a living Christmas tree last year (root ball included) that didn't survive the summer so we decided against trying to go that route again. The tree is off to a great! Josh set up our village and nativity and it looks great! His only complaint...he doesn't have enough Christmas Story houses :-)

Thanksgiving in the Smokys

We had such a great Thanksgiving in Tennessee! We had a traditional meal prepared by Mom, Dad & Becky...I guess I did add a couple things too. We went to Dollywood, visited Gatlinburg, saw a bear and even felt a 3.0 earthquake.

IKEA...wow

It's a good thing IKEA is two hours away! Josh and I had our first ever trip to IKEA and we both LOVED it! Sooo many ideas for our house. We bought some storage for our kitchen and a rug for the baby's room. It looks great! We were there three hours and didn't even look at everything IKEA has to offer. The coolest part...our total food purchase was taken off our merchandise bill so it's like we ate for free!

Baby Shower/Birthday Week

I had such an amazing shower. My family worked so hard on making it so special. The time and effort they put into it warms my heart. We all feel so blessed and loved.

For my birthday my parents and my sis got me a maternity winter coat! I was so happy! I didn't want to spend the money on a coat (which I desperately needed) and was overjoyed when I received a ohh so warm black pea coat.

Josh surprised me on my birthday with cute birthday decorations. Very thoughtful :-)

21w3d

We had our second trimester ultra sound today!  I was sooo nervous the u/s tech would reveal the gender of our baby today but after seeing her lightning speed there was no chance of that happening.  Thank goodness, our little surprise is still a surprise!  The average heartbeat was 152.  The u/s tech said our little one is very photogenic...whatever that means when you are in a womb ;-)  She or he has very long femur bones.  They measured in a high percentile.  The u/s tech and dr both said this means a very long baby...we shall see in Feb!  She or he had larger feet to which prob are in proportion to the long legs.  The belly measured a week ahead...maybe he or she hadn't had their afternoon poop yet, ha ha.  He or she was moving, moving and moving.  The u/s tech teased and said it seems like we have a feisty baby...ohhh ooo look out mommy and daddy.  We even got to witness what our baby looks in 3D.  3D in an u/s is basically like claymation, so remember this when you view the picture and think wow that kid sure is lumpy.  Everything looked great.  We are VERY happy and this much more excited for February!!  *

So much cabbage

My garden for the most part was a dry mess this year...however my tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, green beans and some squash all survived the desert like temps.    I made freezer coleslaw for the first time and it turned out yummy!  I also canned some stewed tomatoes with help from my Mom!!  Love canning with her...especially because anyone who knows me, knows I struggle with cutting...if it weren't for her I would prob still be cutting right now :-)

4 months

A week ago I hit the 4 month/16 week mark...yahoo!

Fall is here

This weekends cool temperatures have ready for fall.  I even had to buy cider and a cinnamon doughnut...sadly they were not nearly as yummy as the ones purchased from Leipprandt's Orchard.

Soo soft

Josh and I received our first baby outfit.  My mom and dad came over to visit an brought us this little ohh soo snuggley gift.  I thought it was polka dots but Josh noticed right away it was little duckies.  SOOO Cute!  Can't wait to meet the little one that wear this :-)  We have appointment next Wednesday and I am hoping that means we will get to see the baby again!  We also received our first card a couple weeks ago from Uncle Larry and Aunt Deb.  Who will the baby look like...Mommy or Daddy? :-)

10w3d

We had our ultrasound yesterday.   The technician said I could drink just half the amount of water I did this time next time I come...oops :-)  We got to hear our little babies heartbeat.  Hearing that noise makes it so much more real and totally in love!  He/she was just a kicking his/her little legs.  Its hard to believe something inside of you, moving that much can't be felt!  The tech kept saying how strong the heartbeat was and how big of a belly he/she has!   His/her heart rate was 168 and he/she was almost 3.5 cm.  Josh asked if it was normal for a baby this young to have such a big head...she assured him it was ;-)  Keep on growing little one!  Here is a picture of a picture of our little one.  You can actually see the too little legs and feet sticking up.

Ahhh Red

GM has ridiculous promotions right now, so I traded in my not even a year old car for this brand new one!  ANDDDD it's red!  My favorite color :-)
