Long day at work

Super super de duper busy at work today!  Just got home at 8:30.  As I was working my butt off today I noticed they now put sayings on halls throat drops...so I gave myself a high five!

Florida, Florida, Florida

So for the next few days I will be posting pictures from our vacation to Florida...you should get excited if your not this is what I think about that (see photo below).  We went to Animal Kingdom and rode on the safari.  ALL the animals were out.  It was great!  This particular fellow didn't want his picture taken.  Right before I pressed the button he turned and I was left with this.

Cold

I have had a cold for the last week.  I came home from a busy day of work, nose so plugged that it was hard to talk and sound like I was actually saying a word.   My day was made much better when to my surprise Josh had Chicken Noodle Soup waiting for me (He went grocery shopping too!).

I also wanted to share something that the pastor at Caro UMC said today.  He was talking about giving up things for lent and he said that you end up focusing sooo much on that particular thing it makes it even harder then it should be.  He said why not try taking on something instead of giving up.   A couple of examples he gave were to write 40 letters to people who you appreciate, do 40 acts of kindness or if you really want to give up something such as food, donate the amount of that food you would normally eat to charity...or the amount of money it would cost to purchase that food.  I really like his idea of taking something up...never thought of doing that :-)

Almost packed

A long day of work...a busy night of packing...almost done....I can do it 1 more day till vaca...uhhh.  I decided I will not be taking my lap top with me...I need a break...a BIG BREAK so that means a vacation from the photos.  Hopefully resolutions don't count when on vacation!

The tree is down!

I got a text in the afternooon today that Kappens were in the process of taking down our big, DEAD, evergreen tree.  YEAH!!  I would not want their job.  I gave them the thumbs up as they waved to me.  I don't think they realize how excited I was.   Josh and I want shopping for a few new items to add to our Florida wardrobes (I am sure he wouldn't agree with the word choice I just used haha).  We got home only to realize we were missing two pairs of shorts we thought we bought.  We counted our items and realized that she never scanned them...huge bummer, at least we didn't pay for them and forgot them at the store.

Will someone play with me

I think Paris knows that we will be going on vacation soon even though the only thing packed is toothpaste lol.  Thank goodness for my sister watching Paris!!  I appreciate it sooo much.  It saves Josh and I mula to do things in Florida and Paris loves her Gunny and Jazi! 3 days!

Candles

I <3 candles and my lantern candle warmers!!  For our wedding Mary Kaye gave us this candle S accent and I love it!  I feel a person can never have too many candle warmers.  It's been awhile since I have been to Yankee Candle so my winter/spring scents are slim.  I did discover the other day that the dollar store next to work as yummy smelling Pillsbury candles for only $4.00!!  Cha ching!  4 days till Florida and sooo much to do!!  Oh and Josh's Richard Petty Rookie experience was booked today!  I am soo excited for him and to watch!  He gets to do an opportunity of a life time :-) 

Super bowl sunday...eh

I had to admit...I haven't been very interested in this Superbowl.  I don't really care for it's all about me Brady.  I have watched so many interviews and there is something about his personality that doesn't impress me.   Today I had a photoshoot with McKenna and her two cousins.  Let me tell ya...trying to get 2 babies and a 2 year old to sit together indoors for a photo is ALOT of work!  I did manage to get some candid shots that will be priceless during a graduation open house ;-) 5 days till FLORIDA!

Wash Boy

In preparation for our Florida trip Josh spent almost 6 hours detailing my parents car and he did it no sleep.   He is a perfectionist when it comes to cleaning vehicles.  He did such an amazing job! Bummer part of my day was nearly blacking out.  It has been a couple years since my low sugar has got to me like that.  Thank goodness Josh was there to hold me up!  He told me I scared the crap out of him.  So say a prayer that it decides to stay on the normal level because we have a big vaca coming up!

1 Week till Orange Country

1 week to go till vaca with my parents and Josh!!  I can't wait.  That means I need to get tanning so I don't burn...which if you grew up with me is one of my skins favorite things to do.  I remember the days of swimming in my parents pool in a long sleeve shirt and hat so that my sun poisoning didn't get bad.  I have figured out a method that works pretty well when I am going to be exposed to ALOT of rays...the tanning bed.  Not only does it feel great but it helps me not to get burned.  Josh got his hair cut a couple weeks ago and picked me up some tanning lotion.   He picked out a winner, that basically sums up my life... Peace, Love & CUPCAKES!

I hope you are a cat lover

I just realized if your not an animal lover you prob don't find my blog amusing :-)  My mom brought over some more of my endless amount of things from her house and in this assortment of goodies was a hand knitted kitchen scrubber.  Knitted kitchen wash cloths are my fav!  Lucee found this scrubber and insisted that this was her new toy.  No matter where I put it, it seems to walk away!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's bday and we ate at Fritz's in Richville.  Make sure you wish her a happy birthday!  When Josh got home this morning he came into the bedroom and...get your head out of the gutter...he told me he packed me lunch!  It made the rest of my day fantastic.  I love the unexpected little things.  Speaking of unexpected things how about Tazer laying on the computer desk when she knows I am trying to type.
