Pt. Austin Farmers Market

This past weekend was my first trip to the Pt. Austin Farmers Market.  It was AWESOME!  So many yummy free samples, produce, blankets, purses, a lil bit of everything.  Even a petting zoo!

Binding

We are short staffed at work and need help.  Sometimes one of the girls from the printing press comes and helps build ads.  Well this week she was too busy in her dept to help us.  Not good.  So we came up with an idea that if we helped her on our most chill day, Wednesday, she could help us on Friday.  I had to bind tons of booklets for a church conference...apparently this is what a college degree makes you qualified to do :-)

Spring Flower Tour

Just pretend you don't see any weeds, grass or whatever master gardeners don't have in their beds ;-)

Can you guess?

Can you guess what this is the wrapper of?   Somehow it makes it less tasty.  Too bad I discovered this "warning" label months after I had been eating them.  It is off the wrapper of a Kelloggs Choc Chip Fiber bar.

Bubble baths

I remember playing in the bubble bath when I was little with my sister.  Becky had a Little Mermaid doll that she always played with...I think I was a little jealous of her Ariel ;-)  I loved playing with a brown tupperware bowl (sounds fun, ha), a little person in a red boat and Flounder who squirted water (prob Beckys too...SHE LOVEEED The Little Mermaid).  I am sure I am forgetting about alot of our bath toys because I know there was a heaping pile on the floor when it was time to get out.  I would always try to sneak more bubble bath solution in the bath when Mom wasn't looking.   I think this is actually what the bottle looked like...they still make it!

Red pencil

Somedays I really wish I could talk to my grandpa and grandma, to hear their voices.  Josh has been wanting me to play Amazing Grace for him.  Today I picked up my grandma's hymnal and flipped to the back of it where all the songs are listed by page number.  Instead of flipping right to Amazing Grace I got distracted by the pencil mark lines next to some songs.  I do not know why these songs had marks by them but I am going to assume they were some of my grandma's favorites.  I decided as much as I hate playing hymns I am going to try to learn every song my grandma purposely marked.  Its small things like this that make me feel like she is still around me when I can't see or talk with her anymore and ease the pain of losing her.  This is the first song I chose to play from her list.   It's a new one to me.

Cars & Crafts

Finally a smooth Friday at work!  It's the Cars & Crafts festival.  Usually there are vendors lining the sidewalks but due to the recent tsunami the streets are bare and the food vendor lines are non existent.  I figured at lunch I should prob help them out...so I bought a taco and some Gibbys french fries.  Don't worry I put vinegar on them and vinegar helps you loose weight right? ;-)
