Those Barbies were so last year

I was at Meijer on Friday night and for some reason I ended up in the toy section (If I remember right it was on the way to the electronics).  On one of the end caps was clearanced toys.  I found these 3 Barbies very interesting.  The Art teacher Barbie...you hit a button and her arm actually moved up and down as she painted...wow...the next Barbie was the Sweet Talkin Ken Barbie...say something while pressing Ken's perfectly chiseled chest and he would repeat it in his ultra happy, I love life voice...pretty cool...the last Barbie had the trendiest package.  I love the modern look and the typography! 

Visitors

Today Cole, Lauren and Duke came to visit on their way home from Zehnder's.  It was so great to see all of them.  It makes you realize just how much you miss your best friends!

Busy morning

Yesterday I noticed that we had cherry blossoms that popped overnight!  Crazy!  The day before everything was just buds then bam.  After 2 hours of sleep Josh was up and grinding stumps.  He is such a hard worker!  He suprised me with a couples massage later this afternoon so that should be a nice break for him from all the hours he has been putting in at work :-)  He's great!  Friday morning he showed up with a McDonald's frappe after a sleepless night for me.  I <3 that guy.   Almost forgot...my Digital SLR camera took a turn for the worse.  I feel naked without my camera!

Josh's new toy

So Josh now is the proud owner of a lawn tractor with a bucket.  We can't wait to tear up our yard with it...actually we already started ;-)  When we bought the house there was a huge pile of junk (tree limbs, grass clipings, etc) today there is no longer a big pile of junk...cha ching!  I have to admit, I am kinda excited about this new "toy" as well. 

Second day of spring

It reached almost 90 degrees today.  The AC is on and the flowers are out...in March.

Gobble gobble

We used to see deer all the time in our yard.  Today we had a bunch of turkeys.  I think if I could hunt anything it would prob be a turkey...and then cry once I realized I had killed it. 

Happy St. Patty's Day

My day consists of a Big Brother/Big Sisters Bowling Fundraiser for work.  I can't remember the last time I bowled.  My goal...to break 100.  I think my highest score ever was only 160 and that was a fluke.   When I was in elementary school, on saturday mornings you could participate in basketball and bowling.  I was scheduled to play basketball first at the Pigeon Elementary gym then after was bowling at the Dutch Kettle.  I loved the bowling part the best!  It always included a basket of french fries that were oh soo yummy. 

In honor of St. Patty's Day I painted my nails green and found an awesome pinterest idea.  You take newspaper and make a temporary tattoo kinda thing for your nails.  I thought this was fitting since I work for the newspaper and that's who is bowling.  I also made green pancakes :-)

One hail of a storm

Got out of work just in time to run to my car in a downpour.  A half hour went by and this is what followed the rain.  I think it was the largest hail I've ever seen.  It hit our vehicles so loud that in the house it sounded as if we were going 75 down a gravel road.  The storm hasn't let up yet to check out the damage.  We are crossing our fingers that we won't find any.  The largest piece of hail was the size of a golf ball! 

And the verdict is in...

Living in Huron County I had to fill out a questionnaire to be a possible juror.   Around the same time my mom also got a questionnaire...random?  I think not.   I was in school at the time so I never was selected as a possible juror.  I live in Tuscola County for a year and what happens...I get a questionnaire and SELECTED to report. 

The Graphic Designer in me

I LOVE this wine bottle label.  It is soo tranquil.   You can almost picture yourself floating on a raft down a lazy river slowly slipping this wine.  

Dumb and Dumber

I went to Wal-Mart at lunch to return my Red Box movie.  I went to pull into a parking spot and what should appear but a... moped?  I then proceeded to look around for Harry and Llyod.

My daily read

I bought this book at the Home Goods store in Florida.  It's going to start off my day.

Vaca x2 please?

Oh how I wish I was back at Port Orleans again...loved this hotel!  It even had horse drawn carriage rides :-)
