Happy Birthday

Last week my knee developed a click when I squat. I am attributing it to the fact that I am 32 as of today.  Wow that feels old.

I spent the day I appointments.  It started out with Teagues 2 month well check.  He weighs 12lbs 6 ounces and he's 24 inches long.  He is very advanced (responding to voices by smiling with his entire face and following people/things).

Massey came down with a cold last night so he got to see the doctor too.  He sat on the bench, observing everything that was done to Teague and him.  The doctor even pointed out his observing.  I managed to score a happy birthday sticker thanks to the nurses at the boys doctors.

Next we went to get some immunizations and vaccines.  The two boys and I got the flu shots.  Teague had three other immunizations and Massey had one.  Teague cried for a couple of seconds and Massey didn't cry at all.  He even waiting in his seat patiently to go first!

The last appointment of the day was my appointment at the podiatrists.  My poor planters wart was in need of being evicted.  The doctor said I wasn't a smoker and I asked him how he knew that.  He said because one cigarette depletes the body of 70% of its circulation for 4 hours.  I have good circulation 👍🏼
I ended my birthday night with Pizza Hut brought to our house by the Gokeys, an adult coloring book (get your mind out of the gutter), $1.00 from my sweet nephew  & cake and ice cream from my parents.

Can't wait to see what surprises 32 brings.

Barn

Masseys barn is finally finished!  After months of it sitting idol after I drew it and painted the bright red, it's done!  Mom finished the white and brick red and it looks great.  Now to add some artificial straw.

My sunshine

I had such a great day with Mass yesterday!  I love spending Wednesdays with him so much.  He got his hair cut and sat there like such a big boy.  He sucked on his sucker and smiled the entire time :-). Than he helped me wash big bulky comforters at the laundry mat.  He kept pointing to the different colored dryers saying green, yellow, green, yellow.  He is becoming such a big helper.  He helped shove the blankets in the washer.  We picked up a couple of things from the grocery store.  He told me he was tired and layed down in the grocery cart.  Sure looks comfy ;-). We ended our little outing with slushes from the DQ...he requested a pink one, LOL.

A very delayed update

I completely forgot to post after our 28 week u/s.  We had to have another u/s at 28 weeks because of a lowline placenta. Great news the placenta moved up to over 5cm!  Yeah :-)  The u/s tech informed us that we have a rather large baby.  He was measuring almost 1w6d ahead in his size.  He weighed 3 lbs 4 ounces already.  I guess this is heavy, lol.  She wanted us to have another u/s to see his size.  We waited to meet with the doctor kinda worried that we may have an elephant on our hands.  The doctor told us the u/s looked great and the only reason to have another u/s would be to see if I wanted to push out a larger baby. We said "no thanks" and she laughed.  She told us that the road has been paved by Massey ;-). eek! She also said that the larger babies eat better and sleeping longer so I guess this isn't too bad. Haha.  She said that we shouldn't expect anything less than an 8lb baby! So on the that note...being on our big boy 💙 and we will see how accurate that u/s is 😉

My first purchase

I went shopping with my sister today.  Meijer had 40% off Carter clothing.  Up until now I haven't purchased anything for the little mister.  I was scared that if I did something would go horribly wrong and I would have reminders everywhere.  My sister noticed some adorable onesies and encouraged me to buy them.  I placed them in my cart and the entire time I was questioning if I should be buying them. I did and I feel good about it, even a little more excited about our little mister.  I think it's one step in the right direction.

Fun outside

I had so much fun hanging out with these guys today.  I love how Noah entertains Massey so I can check some things off my to do list.  They even did a great job taking turns riding the gator.

First tractor ride of the season

Today Mass and I rode with Josh while he was planting.  Massey has been anti tractor rides so I was pleasantly surprised when he initiated the tractor ride.  Great grandpa Sherman parked his truck close to the field and walked closer to watch Josh farm.  I remember grandpa Murdoch parking near fields to watch the equipment after he no longer farmed. It's nice to have someone in our lives that reminds me of him.

A whale?

Here I am pregnant on the left with the little mister and pregnant on the right with Massey.  Only a week difference in the photo.  I will be 22 weeks on Thursday.  I am really hoping this doesn't mean a bigger baby!

It's a...

We had our anatomy u/s today at 18w6d.  I was a bunch of nerves going in.  I kept experiencing crying episodes thinking about what Becky went through.  I got to decide with the first pregnancy if we were going to find out the gender.  I chose for it to be a surprise.  Josh got to choose this time, so today at our u/s we found out we were having a boy.  First thing we witnessed on the screen was the penis, lol.  Fun little fact boys can have erections in utero.  Eek!  Lol.  She said we are going to have our hands full. The baby is super active and fiesty.  She said he's going to give big brother a run for the money and be a sports star.  Haha!  His belly was measuring almost two weeks ahead of schedule and the rest of him was about a week.  She said he sure likes to eat!  I think she said he weighs 11 ounces.  She asked Josh and I which side the big babies comes from and neither of us were big babies so we have no clue.  Good news is
his head was measuring just a week ahead.  She said if his head was measuring like his belly we would be in trouble, eek!   His HR was 161.  Very strong and fast HR.  Yeah.  He kept putting his hand up in the high five position and showing his little feet.  We could see all the tiny bones in his hands. I never thought seeing his open hands would mean so much to me. We also think he looks like Massey.  My placenta was a 2.9cm from the cervix and they like it to be 3cm.  The tech said most of the time it will move up and she said its nothing to worry about.  We will receive another u/s at 28-34 weeks just to check and if it hasn't moved up we will schedule a c-sec.  Thank you God for being with us today and with this baby and Abbie for watching over her cousin.  💙

It's finally warm

It reached 60 degrees today, so you know what that means...fun in the sun!  Noah and Massey visited Josh's farm after we went shopping at Countryview.  Then we went to Aunt Beckys and the boys flew their kites.  Massey the daredevil thought he was going to save the kite from the tree...but we all knew the twig he planned on climbing to get there wasn't such a good idea. So Becky, Josh and I eventually got him out of the tree with no broken bones.

One week

In one week we have our anatomy scan ultrasound.  I will be 18w6d at the u/s. No am scared...scared that our baby will have the fate that Abbie did.  Holding Abbie and watching my sister experience what it feels like to lose her daughter is horrific to me.  I am praying so hard that our baby is healthy.  The healthy that most moms don't think about when going through pregnancy.  You always want a healthy baby but even when you think of the chance of an unhealthy child you don't usually focus on the fact your almost full term baby might be an angel before she is born.  I am scared.  I know I'm not as strong as my sister.  I am afraid what they might tell us, what we might see on the u/s screen.  Ugh.  I just want our baby to be okay.

A crappy situation

Last night around 3:00am I woke up and heard the sub pump working every 30 seconds.  I told Josh and we figured that it was because all the snow was melted outside.  When I woke up this morning i noticed it smelled musty/stinky so Mass and I went to investigate.  We opened the basement door, smelled sewer and heard a waterfall.  Oh me oh my!  Josh got home.  He went in the basement and sure enough a waterful and broken pipe. We called a plumber and he came out.  Our septic is full and can't be reached until the frost is gone 😢😢.  The pipe can't be fixed until the water in our ditch and yard goes down.  He they would fix it now all the water from those two places would flood our house.  The plumber told just at least a week and Josh said we can't have water going into our basement for another week!!!  So they said possibly a couple of days.  Our house stinks and there is water standing in our basement.  I cried and cried.  However, I came to the realization that it was old piping so whatever we do to fix it will be an update to our house.  This makes me not as sad.  In the meantime we are staying at Drew and Beckys whole Josh sleeps there to make sure the sub pump doesn't quit.  If it quits it will be bad news bears.  The photos below are all spetic water that could potentially flood our house if we try to fix the pipe now 😔

Cheetos

Why oh why are these darn things so addicting.  I will take them crunchy, puffy, ball form or whatever. Soo good and so bad for you.
Sleepy house today.  Apparently Stella and Bear missed the memo!

Paris

Paris recently went to the vet.  She's been on medicine for almost two weeks for a bladder infection, ear infection and possible absess.  Well let me tell you, she must not of been feeling well for awhile.   Last night she ate two of Masseys toys & was spunky as a puppy.  She is 10, what senior citizen wars toys, LOL.  I guess Massey will never know what the letter W looks like ;-)

Home Depot

It's a good thing we are trying hard to stick to a budget because Home Depot likes my money 😉. We purchased our hinges and handles for our cabinets.  Yeah!!!  We are finally going to have doors  up!!

God

Sometimes you find God where you least expect it.  A dental hygentist gave me this when I told her about sweet baby Abbie Rae.  I don't know her other than the two times she has cleaned my teeth but she even shed tears over Abbie Rae's diagnosis.  She also took my prayers for Abbie Rae bracelet and said this was out of her norm.

Cat Chairs?

I think Tazer believes that Masseys Christmas presents are hers.  Maybe I should market these as cat chairs and make millions...

Winter fun!

We had so much fun playing outside with Massey and Paris during the first snowstorm of the year!

The coat

My Uncle Larry is too funny.  He went to a garage sale and found this like new coat in Masseys size.  He thought Massey just had to have it!  Lol.  Oh and this is what his hair looked like when he got up from his 2.5 hour nap, so fitting!

Josh is doing great learning to cook!  New Years Eve he made no bake cookies using a recipe and tonight he made tator tot casserole and it was delicious!!  We all had more, Massey too!

Just eating dinner

Massey cracks me up!  I love his imagination.  Tonight George wanted to eat with him and sit in his own chair 😉. Thank goodness he didn't actually try to feed him like he normally does.  Note:  That is indeed a piece of PB toast hanging from his mouth.

2015

Hello 2015!  Can't wait to see what blessings you bring!  Massey woke up just in time to see the ball drop.  Josh installed our ceiling fan and made it look easy peasey.
